Gallatin Real Estate

We love this town!  It’s picturesque.

Just 23 miles North from Nashville, Downtown Gallatin, Tennessee is a prelude to Southern Charm.  Listed on the National Register, Gallatin’s historic district features antique shops,
gift stores, art galleries, boutiques, great entertainment
and dining venues plus so much more.

Gallatin is that rare town that’s perfectly comfortable with its own place in the world.  Sure, residents love being able to spend time in a very large, very cool city like Nashville whenever they want.  But what they love even more is being able to come home to what they  regard as their own little corner of heaven – a town filled with true grit and amazing grace that is both remarkably simple and simply remarkable.  In fact, Gallatin was voted ‘Nicest Place to Live’ by Readers Digest in 2017.

Historic Downtown Gallatin has been revitalized and has one of the nation’s best Main Streets.  It hosts Farmers Markets, Annual Main Street Festival, Squarefest 3rd Thursdays on Main and other events.  Several historic sites like the Rose Mont, and Stonewall are in Gallatin as well.

You’ll notice the natural grace, the abundant trees and rolling hills and sweeping green pastures.  Long, curved driveways leading to historic estates remind us of the city’s gracious horse-breeding past.  And of course, there’s Old Hickory Lake.

The main campus of Volunteer Community College is located in Gallatin, with other campuses in Cookeville, Livingston & Springfield.  Founded in 1971, it now serves 11 counties from Metro Nashville to the Cumberland Plateau and has 18 buildings on 100 acres in Gallatin.  Vol State offers more than 100 areas of study in five major divisions.
